What if I am not comfortable driving my motorcycle across the Mackinac Bridge?

Posted on January 17th, 2017

Effective Friday, March 13, the Mackinac Bridge will indefinitely suspend its motorcycle trailering program as part of measures to help slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority has a “Drivers Assistance Program” that provides drivers for those uncomfortable with driving across the Mackinac Bridge.   We do have staff with their motorcycle endorsement to drive your motorcycle across for you.  Having staff drive your motorcycle across is a free service.  If  you would rather have your motorcycle trailered across there will be a $15.00 fee for the motorcycle and driver and an additional $3.50 if there is a passenger.  If you are traveling northbound, pull over where the I-75 widens just past the Jamet Street Entrance Ramp and call 906.643.7600 for assistance.  If you are southbound, just ask a fare collector for assistance.
